Background

Once upon a time in Memory Lane, the Danish Guitar Wizard, Martin Slott, crossed paths with the illustrious Ken Anthony, a mastermind who had lent his talent to bands ranging from Metallica to those who rocked the notorious Strip. When Martin joined the band “Push” for their album “Shaken’ Not Stirred,” they embarked on an epic journey as they opened for the mighty Dio and the fabulous Pretty Maids. They even graced the stages of legendary festivals alongside rock titans like Alice Cooper, Motörhead, Status Quo, Backyard Babies, and Mountain. Talk about a star-studded adventure!

Martin Slott

In the years that followed, Martin reunited with his comrade-in-arms, the charismatic lead singer of Push, Martie Peters. Together, they formed the unstoppable Martie Peters Group and unleashed two explosive albums upon the world. The music gods smiled upon them as they shared the stage with the legendary likes of Mike Tramp, Nelson, Mark Slaughter, Jeff Scott Soto, and Eric Martin. What a rock ‘n’ roll extravaganza!

But Martin’s adventures didn’t stop there! He also lent his incredible skills to the band “Switchblade”. Oh, and did I mention that Switchblade had the one-and-only Ken Anthony taking charge of the microphone? Talk about a cosmic collision of awesomeness! Looking back, Martin couldn’t help but marvel at the sheer uniqueness and undeniable coolness of it all. It truly was a rock ‘n’ roll rollercoaster of epic proportions!

Nowadays, Martin has taken up residence in the United States, where he continues to make music magic alongside his talented wife in their wildly successful cover band, aptly named “Sideways.” Oh, the tales they could tell about the wild nights and epic jams they’ve shared!

But wait, there’s more! Martin is bursting with pride as he navigates down the “Memory Lane” with none other than Ken Anthony by his side, serving as both manager and co-songwriter. And to point out, Martin is playing all guitars and bass on this new album.

Ken Anthony

Ken Anthony is like the charismatic rock ‘n’ roll ghost that haunts the Danish and global hard rock/metal scene. He basically kickstarted the whole Danish Heavy Metal scene, because, you know, why not? But he didn’t just stop there, oh no! This dude went on to manage bands like Pretty Maids, Mercyful Fate, and a ton of other names that make you go, “Whoa, dude, that’s legit!” He even had a gig as a music magazine writer, rubbing shoulders with big shots like METAL FORCES magazine. Yeah, he’s kind of a big deal. Oh, and let’s not forget, he was in a band called SWITCHBLADE with a dude named Martin Slott. But the cherry on top of this Metallica-infused cake? Ken’s got the official stamp of approval from Lars Ulrich himself, who called him his “Mentor.” So, yeah, basically, Ken can rock your world.

Ken’s heart plummeted faster than a glam rocker on roller skates in the wild and wicked strip scene of Hollywood’s 80s and 90s. It was a time when bands like Motley Crue, Poison, Cinderella, and Junkyard ruled the stage, and Ken found himself caught up in the whirlwind of it all. Not only did he embrace the scene in Hollywood but also helped spread the glam rock vibes all the way to Denmark with a band called Sateria. Can you believe it?

But that’s not all! Ken went on to form a band with his trusty pal “Switchblade” to create music that was inspired by the very essence of the glam rock scene. They released not one, but two albums! And guess who else joined them at some point? Yep, you got it – the one and only Martin Slott.

Fast forward to today, and Ken Anthony and Martin Slott have reunited to bring you the sensational album called “MEMORY LANE.” It’s like a time machine that takes you straight back to the glorious 80s, where the hair was big, the parties were wild, and the rock ‘n’ roll was, well, rockin’! The songs on this album are a fusion of Martin Slott / Ken Anthony magic and the creative contributions of other talented musicians who were also part of the good ol’ 80s days.

“MEMORY LANE” is a nostalgic love letter to all the die-hard 80s rock ‘n’ roll enthusiasts out there. So fasten your seatbelts and get ready for an epic ride down memory lane alongside Ken Anthony, Martin Slott, and their amazing group of friends. Let the party begin!
